Professor Nikolai Petrovsky

Professor Petrovsky is Director of Endocrinology at Flinders Medical Centre, Research Professor at Flinders University and the founder of Vaxine Pty Ltd, a company engaged in vaccine research and development.  He has been principal investigator for several large vaccine adjuvant grants from the U.S. National Institutes of Health.  His research interests cover vaccines, immuno-informatics, and autoimmunity.  He holds multiple patents for discoveries in the field of vaccine adjuvants and his work has been honored with many awards including the 2010 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, the 2011 Vaccine Industry Excellence Award for Most Innovative Asian Biotech and 2013 Biopharma Asia Asian Executive of the Year Award. He has authored over 140 research papers and has taken multiple vaccines including ones for pandemic influenza, hepatitis B and allergy, from conception at the lab bench to human trials.
