Professor Jiming Hu

Jiming Hu studied chemistry at Wuhan University, China where he gained a PhD. He has worked at Wuhan University since 1988 and received his professorship in 1993. He is currently a Luojia distinguished Professor and Director of the Institute of Analytical Biomedicine, Wuhan University. Since 80’s in the last century, Prof. Hu and his group have been engaged in laser spectroscopy in biomedicine and development of analytical instruments. He has co-authored more than 230 referenced publications. Currently, his main interests are biomedical application of Raman spectroscopy, biosensor and Meridian study. In particular, his group is focusing on molecular logic & computing, multi-targeting assay and cellular imaging in complex biological system by means of surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) technique.
